High carbon silicon is a novel composite alloy oxygen absorber that can replace the more expensive traditional oxygen absorbers--- ferrosilicon powder, calcium carbide, toner and alloy powder. High carbon silicon is suitable for deoxidation during smelting of general steel, alloy steel and special steel. It has the advantages of rapid deoxidation, shortening smelting time, fast formation of white slag, concentrated reduction atmosphere, easy temperature adjustment, reducing electricity consumption, improving the life of the lining and furnace cover, improving steelmaking efficiency, improving the quality of molten steel, reducing the consumption of raw and auxiliary materials, etc., and can also effectively reduce the amount of fluorite, reduce the concentration of toxic gas fluorine, reduce environmental pollution, and play an important role in improving the comprehensive economic benefits of electric furnaces. High carbon silicon in the deoxidation at the same time has a certain desulfurization effect, but also has a carbon enrichment effect, can replace part of the carburizing agent, greatly reducing the cost of steelmaking.
